Night Deposit

“ND” is a 2007 bay off-the-track-thoroughbred mare who just came into MHARF from an April 2016 Pine County humane case.  She has now put on some much needed weight and is on our list for a training assessment.  We know she is broke to ride but will need to determine to what level. She is now available for adoption!

Wrangler Red came to MHARF from an April 2016 Pine County humane case. He is a registered quarter horse (although we don’t know if we’ll be able to get his papers). We are told he was foaled in 2006. He was emaciated at intake and his coat was entirely encrusted in manure and urine which had dried like cement. We slowly removed the crust so as not to cause him undue stress.

Sally Forth (Update: Sally has been adopted!)

Update: Sally has been adopted! Sally Forth is a sweet bay mare who came to MHARF from a large ASPCA humane seizure in North Carolina in early 2016. She stands 15.2hh and was foaled in approximately 2011. We believe she is a Westfalen (a German warmblood breed) due to information from the ASPCA humane case.  At intake Sally had severe trust issues and was extremely shy of being caught. During the summer of 2016 she went into training for our 2016 Trainer’s Challenge of the Unwanted Horse with trainer Derek Kohlhase of Dart Ranch.

Breanna (update: Breanna has been adopted!)

Graduate of the 2016 Trainer’s Challenge

Breanna is a beautiful bay mare who came to MHARF from a large ASPCA humane seizure in North Carolina. She stands 16hh and was foaled in approximately 2011. We believe she is a Westfalen (a German warmblood breed) due to information from the ASPCA humane case. She is finer boned than the other horses from this case so may be crossed with a thoroughbred or another lighter breed.

Patriot

Graduate of the 2016 Trainer’s Challenge

This handsome boy came to MHARF from a large ASPCA humane seizure in North Carolina. He was a stud at intake and has recently been gelded. Patriot stands 17hh and was foaled in approximately 2011. We believe he is a Westfalen (a German warmblood breed) due to information from the ASPCA humane case. All of the horses from this case have severe trust issues and Patriot is no exception.
