Sage and Chris Vinson

The Challenge | The Trainers and Students | Event Information

Sunday, July 4

Sage likes to work obstacles, side pass and chase cattle, life is good when you're a mare at 3S-Ranch.

Obstacles? What obstacles? Um, there's a tarp on my back.

Monday, May 31

Some photos of our work so far!

"Okay I'll do it but it makes no sense to me!" "Cowboy Curtain? What cowboy curtain?!"

About Chris Vinson: 3S-Ranch (www.3S-Ranch.com) is my horse and people educating business. I specialize in rehabilitating emotionally troubled horses, starting colts and sharing with my clients how to become the leaders their horses require to be safe, sane & successful.

The "Safety, Sanity & Success 3S©" philosophy is the basis for all my programs here at the ranch. 3S© is founded on the truth that horses are seeking leadership, clarity in communication and safety. I believe my human clients require the same thing.

I am serious about my educational programs, my training horses, my clients and my personal riding. I am also serious about having fun! I participate in Trail Riding, Extreme Cowboy Racing, Competitive Mounted Orienteering, Games, Drill Team and any new experience that challenges me to grow emotionally, gain skills physically and that encourages my horses to do the same.

Like many people in the horse community, I’ve been involved with horses off and on most of my life. I began as a youngster riding Shetlands, my father’s ranch horse and anything else that would stand still long enough for me to get on it. I participated in local shows, everything from pleasure to games, including pick up race with my father.

About 20 years ago my life changed direction and I was fortunate to become the owner of a wonderful quarter horse mare named Corky. Corky put my passion for horses on super charge. Not long after owning and selling Corky I began the true journey towards the knowledge and skill I possess today. Since then my passion and bliss is horses, any size, any breed all temperaments! From my Arabian gelding “heart attack Harry” who helped me learn how to “ride the tide” to my current mount Frank Sinatra a paint gelding who has taken me to the exciting new sport of Extreme Cowboy Challenges.

I’m also proud supporter of the Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation and this is my second year competing in the trainers challenge.

3S-Ranch offers clinics, seminars, fun shows, private lessons, horse training and other activities. 3S-Ranch is very excited to be the leader in bringing EXCA (Extreme Cowboy Association) to the North Central Region (MN, WI and IA). With Craig Cameron’s, the original extreme cowboy’s, blessing our first sanctioned race will be June 27, 2009 at 3S-Ranch in Boyceville, WI.

If you're serious about making changes and moving forward I'd love to integrate you into one our educational programs!
