Jay

Jay is a paint gelding who was foaled in approximately 2010. He came in during an April 2020 Kanabec County humane case. Jay spent quite a bit of time in our rehab program because his hooves were badly neglected in the past. He needed time to grow out a damaged hoof wall that was the result of what must have been a very large abscess that went untreated. Radiographs also showed that Jay had a history of laminitis. Jay will need a home where he will receive timely professional farrier care and the right nutrition to keep him healthy and sound. He is now available for adoption but has not yet been assessed for training. We are hoping to get him into one of our trainers this summer as soon as there is an opening.
