Princess (Adopted)
Update 09/11/23: Princess is now at HH Stables for a training assessment. She recently went on a trail ride at Sand Dunes State Park and did very well! She is a little rusty as it has been some time since she has been ridden, but she has the basics and will now be getting some refresher work done. Princess is a percheron and is a big mare. She was foaled in approximately 2005-2006.
Update 07/13/23: Princess has now come to the MHARF farm. We are sorry to report that her baby, Raisin, did not survive. You can read more about that sad news from Save the Brays here.
We are giving Princess some time to settle in before we do any training assessments on her. She is a nice mare. Though technically not available for adoption yet, interested parties can contact us to discuss adoption.
Princess was signed over to MHARF by her owner so she could remain with her baby, the mule Raisin, recently taken in by Save the Brays Donkey Rescue while she continues receiving care at the U of M. We will post updates when we can. (Princess is NOT available for adoption. She will remain with Save the Brays and her foal for as long as necessary).
07/03/23: We are very happy to report that Raisin’s mama, Princess has now been signed over to MHARF by her owner so that she will be able to stay with Raisin at the University of Mn Leatherdale Equine Center and with Save The Brays Donkey Rescue as long as her baby needs her. We will be covering the costs for Princess to stay with Raisin at the U of M and to have her own vet check up. You can read all about Raisin and her journey with Save The Brays Donkey Rescue on their page. We know many of you have already made donations to assist with Raisin’s veterinary care, but if you would like to help out with a donation towards Princess’s care and her board while she stays close to her baby at the hospital, any amount is much appreciated!
