Savannah Deutsch and Gina Fiorentino with Cactus Katie

Contact information:

Gina Fiorentino has been riding for nearly 30 years. She started off riding hunt seat at Fortuna Farm as a young girl and moved to eventing and dressage in adulthood. She has been teaching dressage and jumping since 2014 (she taught western at a YMCA camp before that for several summers!). Gina has two horses: Gracie, a 23-year-old Paint mare that she’s had for 19 years, and Chipotle, a 16-year-old quarter horse gelding that she’s had since birth. Over the years with those two she has pursued dressage, eventing, jumpers, team sorting, hunters and trail riding. Gina trains all horses in classical dressage and follows the Art2Ride method and French training methods. Gina has students competing in low level dressage, hunter/jumper, and 4H shows. She is participating in the Trainers challenge this year with one of her students, Savannah Deutsch. Savannah has been riding for over 15 years. She started riding before she could walk. She started out trail riding with her mom and then when she was in elementary school she discovered the world of English riding. She is now an avid hunter/jumper rider and she has been for the majority of her riding career. She’s ridden and worked with horses of every size, breed, and skill level. She also has extensive showing experience in the hunter/jumpers. She owns a 15 year old Thoroughbred who is currently being rehabbed from a broken elbow. The Trainers challenge gives her something to work on over the summer since she is not able to ride her own horse. Savannah and Gina are very excited to be doing this together, especially since it is their first year participating! You can find Gina’s training business at
