The horses and other animals who come through the MHARF program come to us in a variety of ways: humane cases through law enforcement, at the request of social service agencies, at the request of owners who can no longer keep them for various reasons, and at the request of law enforcement agencies because the animals have been abandoned or are unclaimed strays.
