Essential Party

“My husband and I adopted Essential Party (EP) in 2010 as a three year old from MHARF. EP is an OTTB that raced three times, was injured and unable to continue his race career. This was our first experience with a rescue horse, let alone a Thoroughbred! My husband (an amateur) spent several months
working him from the ground… as it was a bitter cold and icy January. In the Spring he began mounted work. EP has such a sweet personality and a wonderful work ethic. He’s been fairly easy to retrain and has never done anything dangerous. He’s an absolutely gorgeous horse and has never been sick or lame. This beautiful guy has been on trail rides, taken for English/Western lessons and hacked out on our property. He could do just
about anything. I am currently working on my basic Dressage skills and plan to show this year. We strive to educate other potential horse owners about the benefits of adoption. This horse is amazing and has so much potential. I truly hope more people give these beautiful animals a chance.
