Star (Star has been ADOPTED!)

Star has been ADOPTED!

Star is an appaloosa mare (solid sorrel, Registered name: Free Wheelin Starlet) who was foaled in 2004. She came to MHARF in December 2019 because her owner is ill and can no longer care for her. Star is in good weight but she has not seen a vet or farrier in many years. She is friendly but not yet halter broke at intake time. She is now in a foster home where she will be halter broke and will receive all necessary vet and farrier care. She does have some cracks in her front hooves and we are addressing those along with her farrier. Star has been a lone horse for many years and was very happy to see other horses as soon as she arrived in her foster home! Star was not broke to ride at intake time and she has been placed with trainer Shaylor Alley for our 2020 Trainer’s Challenge. She will spend the spring and summer in training and will be available for adoption at the event in September. To find out how you can apply to adopt Star at the event Click Here.
