Ola (Currently in Rehab)

Meet Ola the circus pony. Ola, who was part of a traveling circus touring Minnesota recently, came in to MHARF as an owner surrender because he is in need of surgery for scirrhous cord (a bacterial infection and fibrosis of the spermatic cord remnant which can be a complication of castration surgery). He has been started on antibiotics and is scheduled for surgery at Anoka Equine Veterinary Services. There was no way for Ola to have the surgery and stall rest and recovery time he needed if he remained with the traveling circus, so we would like to thank his owners for having his best interest in mind and making sure he gets the care he needs. Thank you also to Dr. Nancy Peterson for her assistance in helping Ola.  If you’d like to make a donation to help pay for Ola’s surgery and recovery, we would greatly appreciate any help! You can use this link to give through PayPal Giving Fund paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/1696087

Ola won’t be available for adoption until after he has had surgery and plenty of time to recover with stall rest.
