Etta (Currently in Rehab)

Etta is a gray mare who came to MHARF from a September 2023 Carlton County humane case. She had her 2023 filly at her side and has also “adopted” a black colt who was rejected by his mother. Both foals have now been weaned.  Bloodwork sent to UC Davis showed estrone sulfate (the definitive pregnancy hormone) level not consistent with equine pregnancy over 45 days, but since she had been turned out with a stallion more recently than that, we will need to retest.
Etta is in our rehabilitation program and is not yet available for adoption. We will have more information on her soon.
