MHARF alumni Keno and Sonny participated in their adopter Katlyn’s wedding in June! Katlyn says the flower girl pictured with Keno is his “favorite little human” and that they have an incredible bond. Thank you to Kaylyn (and her new husband!) for making Sonny and Keno part of your family!

Here is a well matched pair: Marigold and Sarah. Marigold came to MHARF during a December 2015 Hubbard County humane/abandonment case. She competed in the 2016 Trainer’s Challenge with trainer Lauren Novak and was adopted by Sarah and her family that day. Sarah’s mom says, “Sarah loves her so much! They have done a few schooling shows together and have done clinics/lessons with Rochelle Wrisky, Julie Christie, Sasha Kohlhase and Jane Braddock.”
Thanks so much to the Carlson family for this update. Sarah and Marigold look great together!

Thank you to Emily M. for this wonderful update on Norman!
“My name is Emily and I am Norman’s owner/rider. I thought I would contact you to give you an update on how Norman is doing. Norman has been an absolute blessing. He is a complete different horse from when I met him back in November of 2016. He is such a kind boy with a heart that wants to please. He has grown so much with his training in only 4 months of being with me. He is now confident in himself and works extremely hard. I work him 5 days a week, and am out at the barn everyday taking care of him. We have done trail rides, arena work, western pleasure, dressage, horsemanship, showmanship, barrels, poles, even drill team. He loves his job for sure. Norman loves that he finally has a job and he knows when I’m with him its time to work and have fun. We are taking everything day by day, being very patient with him. He has made friends with all the other equines in his pasture, and everyone at the barn adores him. They all know him by Stormin’ Norman. Storms are unexpected but beautiful at the same time. And after every storm there is a rainbow. That is why his name is Stormin’ Norman. He has been a challenge at times, but he one day will be a magnificent horse. He never seems to disappoint me! He has been a pleasure to work with and I am tickled pink to see how far he will go in his career. He melts my heart every time I see him. I am so honored to say I am the lucky girl that gets an amazing horse like him. Thank you MHARF for helping Norman and I find the perfect match and giving Norman a deserving life and second chance!”

Thank you to Katlyn for this update on Sonny (sorrel pictured on left)!
“Took Sonny to Maplewood today! It was a gorgeous day and he did amazing!! Although he wasn’t a fan on the water initially, he loved it after. Sonny never ceases to amaze me. He will do just about anything I ask of him with a little persistence. As our bond continues to grow, I can see the trust forming in us. I fully trust that he’s going to take care of us on the trails. I couldn’t be happier with Sonny, and I have MHARF to thank for that
