Zip is a nice palomino gelding who is approximately 12 years old and 15.3hh. He came to us from a St. Louis County humane case. He is now in decent body condition. He was treated for heaves at intake but his trainer says he has recovered completely from that episode after initial course of treatment with dexamethasone.  Zip was in light training with Jennifer Collman at Windfall Equestrian Center over the winter. Jennifer says he is a super friendly gelding with great ground manners. He is well broke to ride but apparently was allowed to get away with some evasive behavior in the past (scooting, spinning)–which he occasionally still tries in the arena–so he is currently suitable for an intermediate to advanced rider. She feels this can certainly be corrected with continued work. He has now gone to Wrisky Ranch to continue his training with Rochelle Wrisky. We will have more updates on his progress soon!
