“Allie and Zoe Truly Brought Out the Best in Each Other”

We want to share this memorial to MHARF alum Zoe (formerly Sally Forth) who passed away recently and extend our sympathy to her adoptive family. Zoe, who originally came to MHARF in early spring of 2016, competed in our 2016 Trainer’s Challenge with trainers Derek and Sasha Kohlhase of Dart Ranch. Thanks to her generous sponsor, Cindy R., she was able to continue her training with Derek and Sasha, who then assisted with her placement in the perfect adoptive home in 2017 with a young rider named Allie. Together Allie and Zoe went on to accomplish great things:

“Over the years, Allie and Zoe became a strong team and showed at Woodloch, Otter Creek, Wrisky Ranch, Focused Riding Center, 3 Ring Circus etc. Zoe shined in eventing– especially stadium jumping. I cannot remember her ever knocking a rail down. The highlight of their competitive accomplishments was winning the starter division at Sundance Horse Trial in 2020. They also enjoyed lessons over the years with Allie Faith Anderson, Jane Braddock, Jimmi Schramm, Daryl Kinney, Rochelle Wrisky and Linn Ekvern.
This Fall Allie left to attend college at the U of MN. We were fortunate to find a wonderful young rider for Zoe. Olive and Zoe enjoyed many rides, lessons and even a schooling show this fall and winter
Allie and Zoe truly brought out the best in each other. Her unexpected passing is a reminder to each of us to cherish every day and every ride with them.”–Tammy
