Sunny (Adopted)

(Sunny is an appaloosa gelding (foaled in 2012) who came to MHARF in mid-July 2024 because his owner could no longer keep him. We have placed Sunny back in the “rehab” category at this time. He does not have any health or soundness issues, but he is not yet ready to be adopted. Sunny is friendly and likes people and attention when in his stall or in the paddock, but he does continue to get very nervous and reactive as soon as he is put to work. We have opted to take his training very slowly and to go back to the basics so we can help him overcome his fear issues so he can have the best possible future with the right adopter.
