Shyanne (Adopted)

Shyanne is a mini mare who was foaled in 2016 and stands 33″ tall. She came to MHARF in July 2024 as an owner surrender (due to owner’s own health and financial issues). As you can see, Shyanne is pretty chunky. It’s very common to see overweight minis and ponies in this area due to the lushness of the pastures (especially in a wet year). Being overweight is detrimental to their health as it can lead to metabolic issues, laminitis, and other problems. Shyanne is now in a wonderful foster home where her diet and exercise program is already showing positive change. She is also loving the attention she is getting. They tell us she is getting used to all kinds of new things, including fly spray, and that she is extremely smart!
