Rest in Peace, Reddy

We want to thank Janette and Craig and all of Reddy’s barn friends for giving him such wonderful care in his last few years in his foster home. Reddy was diagnosed with shivers in 2023 (a progressive neurologic disease), making it unlikely that he would find an adoptive home. Janette and Craig gladly welcomed him into their herd as a foster horse to live out his remaining time until the disease progressed to the point where his quality of life was compromised. That time came earlier this week and the decision was made to let Reddy go. We are so thankful to Janette and Craig for providing foster care for this sweet, special needs gelding.
From Janette:
“He is running with a whole new set of legs.
He captured a lot of hearts! Not only did the boarders come to say good bye, so did family and friends. He was loved, well still is!
Thank you again for the opportunity to care for him. ❤️
