Zeus – Truhaven Ranch

Student of the 2016 Trainer’s Challenge
Meet Zeus, a graduate of the 2014 Diamond in the Rough Competition. He was 4 years old in August of 2015 and is ready for saddle training. A short coupled, beautiful bay, he stands 14.3 hh. He belongs to the rescue program at Truhaven Ranch and is one of their entries in the 2016 Trainers’ Challenge (with trainer Kora Jerentosky). Because he is competing in the Challenge, Zeus won’t be available for adoption until September 17th. If you would like more info on becoming pre-approved to bid on him in the silent auction on that day please contact us.

Triska (Update: Triska has been adopted!)

Graduate of the 2016 Trainer’s Challenge
This pretty paint cross mare is Triska. She was foaled around 2009 and stands 14.3hh. She was pregnant at intake and foaled early on the first morning of spring 2015! (Her filly, Eclipse, has already been adopted). Triska had been handled very little before intake so she had trust issues and was nervous about new things– but she is friendly and curious. She spent the summer of 2016 in training with Sasha Kohlhase of Dart Ranch for our 2016 Trainers’ Challenge of the Unwanted Horse and has come a very long way. She is now started under saddle. Triska is a smart and sensitive mare and will require a knowledgeable and experienced home!

Tater Chip (Adopted!)

Tater Chip is a 2004 12hh bay pinto pony gelding. He is broke to drive but it has been several years since he has done any driving–so definitely in need of some refresher training.  Tater is not broke to ride.  He has had an episode of laminitis recently and currently has front shoes. Tater needs to be on a dry lot and kept off of grass pasture (like most ponies).

Shenanigan

This yearling filly came in during February 2015 central Minnesota humane case. Her mother is a miniature mare (36″) and her sire is unknown. She is already much larger than her mother, so we expect she will mature around medium-pony sized. She can still be a tiny bit stand-offish because she was not handled much as a foal, but she is curious and shows signs of being very friendly so she should come around very quickly. Shenanigan competed in the 2016 Diamond in the Rough competition and took Reserve Champ in her in-hand division!
