Coal (Currently in Rehab)

Coal is a black gelding who was born in spring of 2023. He came to us as a stud colt from a September 2023 Carlton County humane case. Coal was rejected by his mother, Fancy, during the move, but he was quickly adopted by Etta (who nursed both Coal and her filly Carly). He is now weaned and gelded. Unfortunately, in early April Coal suffered an injury from a kick by another horse while at a foster home. He sustained a fractured mandibular incisor plate which is being treated by Anoka Equine. He will be going for a recheck at the end of the month and we will post updates. The teeth he lost were all lower baby teeth, so we have high hopes that his adult teeth will come in normally.
