Albie

Albie is a gelding who was turned over to MHARF in September 2024 from an estray/unclaimed by owner case. He was foaled in approximately 2019.  He is a smaller horse (possibly a Welsh pony cross), standing at 14.1hh. Albie does not have any training under saddle at this point. He is in training at his foster home and is currently working on groundwork. He has a good temperament.

Henry

Henry is one of two geldings who were found estray by law enforcement in Sept. 2024 and never claimed by their owner so have now been signed over to MHARF. We have an approximate date of birth for Henry of 2002.  He came in with a nail piercing the frog of one hoof. Luckily it went through horizontally and we don’t expect any issues going forward. He is healing up nicely thanks to the help of Anoka Equine Veterinary Services

“He is Such a Gem!”

We received this wonderful update from Dr. Charly yesterday on her adopted MHARF horse, Monte (adopted in June):
“Monte took our neighbor girl to the local open show today! Won the reserve walk/trot western pleasure today (out of two but who’s counting?!). And he walked and trotted her through showmanship and barrels and keyhole! She’s just starting out and he’s such a gem!”
