Cooper (Cooper has been ADOPTED!)

Cooper has been ADOPTED!

Cooper came to MHARF in April 2017 as a two-week old foal from Last Chance Corral in Ohio. He needed to be bottle fed for several weeks but was handled a lot and has turned into a friendly and respectful young horse. He had a severe umbilical hernia which was repaired and he was gelded. We don’t have any info on Cooper’s breeding but he is gaited.

Midnite Gamble: Still Going Strong!

Midnite Gamble (Gambler) continues to do well. He is holding his own physically and still a delight to everyone who knows him.
Over the winter, our barn owner was moving him around in the indoor arena with his two gelding herd mates. She uses a stick with ribbons & flags attached. One evening, Gambler marched into the arena, to the “scary” corner (never for him!) and grabbed the stick and chased the other two fellas around.

Zeno (Update: Zeno has been adopted 04/12/18)

Zeno is a very nice 2007 palomino grade quarter horse gelding who stands 15.3hh. He came to MHARF because his owner could no longer keep him. Zeno was placed with trainer Amanda Nash for our 2017 Trainer’s Challenge of the Unwanted Horse  and he was started under saddle but unfortunately they were not able to compete in the event. Zeno has been back in training with Jeremy Kaiserlik.

Fletcher (Graduate of the 2017 Trainer’s Challenge of the Unwanted Horse)

Update: Fletcher has been adopted! Congratulations to Fletcher and Jeremy Kaiserlik for winning the 2017 Trainer’s Challenge Grand Championship on 09/16/17!

Fletcher is a 2003 black Friesian/Quarter Horse cross gelding. Fletcher came to MHARF because his owner could no longer keep him.  He was not broke to ride at intake and didn’t appear to have been asked to do much of anything in the past. He is now started under saddle and going well with trainer Jeremy Kaiserlik.

Big Tee and His Perfect Home!

When I adopted Tee I was only 12 and he was 14 years old.  He was extremely malnourished when he came to MHARF. He was distant and his training level was unknown.  Over the last 10 years Tee has become my best friend and an important part of our family.  On May 15 he will turn 23; however, everyone is shocked to hear his age.  He is healthy and energetic with the biggest personality I have ever seen.    » Read more about: Big Tee and His Perfect Home!  »
