Jewell (Companion Home Recommended)

Jewell is a nice palomino stock-type mare who was foaled in approximately 1994 and stands 15.2hh. She came to us when we were called out by Sherburne County to pick her up as an estray horse. Her owner was found but didn’t want her back so she was signed over to us. She has had her vet work (including dental). She has decent teeth for her age. We were told she is broke to ride and to drive both single and double.

A Ton of Personality in a Small Package!

Thank you to Brandy for this update on Esperanza! “Essie” is one of our most recognizable alumni, being known as the “sled filly”. She and her mother Dolores came in during a humane case in December of 2012. Esperanza was so weak she couldn’t stand and had to be taken from the trailer into the clinic by sled. Thank you to the emergency care of Dr. Nicole Eller and staff, Esperanza was able to recover from extreme hypothermia,

Tootsie (Adopted)

Tootsie is a grade quarter horse mare who was foaled in spring of 2019. She originally came to us in a November 2019 humane case. Tootsie was quite thin at intake and spent many weeks at Anoka Equine being treated for malnourishment and intestinal parasites. Tootsie also required a blood transfusion early on and was diagnosed with an umbilical hernia which required surgical repair once she was strong enough for the surgery in January 2020.

Tonka has been ADOPTED!

Tonka is a yearling aged (born spring 2019) palomino colt who came to us in November 2019 from a Carlton County humane case. Tonka was treated for malnourishment and intestinal parasites and then gelded. He did have a complication with the castration surgery so had to return to Anoka Equine for  additioanl rehab. He has now recovered and has been placed with trainer Kaitlyn Fedewa for our 2020 Promise of the Future In-Hand Training Competition for Young Horses.
