“He’s still the love of my life.”

Thank you to Kylie for this update on King of Spots! She says the “crabby old grandpa” is still the “love of her life”.😆. He’s retired from riding now due to his advanced age but he still loves getting lots of attention. King of Spots is a Saddlebred gelding who came to MHARF from a 2011 Anoka County humane case. He competed in our 2012 trainer’s Challenge with trainer Colleen Carter and then found his forever home with Kylie.

Hayley (Hayley has been Adopted!)

Hayley is a 15.1hh grade Saddlebred mare who was foaled in approximately 2008. She came to MHARF as an owner emergency surrender in September 2020. She is doing very well and has gained some much-needed weight. In October she went into training with Marirose Berner of MJB Horse Training.

Marirose says she is doing very well under saddle and has a great work ethic and only wants to please!

Benjamin

UPDATE 07/23/20: we have a sad update on Benjamin.  After consulting with the veterinarians treating Ben, we made the decision to humanely euthanize him last night. His pain level had risen to a point where pain meds were no longer able to control it. A venogram showed that there was no longer blood flow to the right front toe and the hoof had begun to slough off at the coronary band.
