Korea Norsk (Bailey) Bailey has been Adopted!

This beautiful bay mare is a registered National Showhorse (Arab x Saddlebred) but we do not have her papers . Her registered name is Korea Norsk but her barn name is Bailey. She was foaled in 1998 and stands approximately 15.2hh.  Bailey came to MHARF during a July 2016 Crow Wing County humane case in which she was rescued from flood waters. She came in with Willa, who we believe is her daughter. Bailey is broke but it has been several years since she has been ridden. She could be put back into use as a light trail horse by an intermediate, confident small adult rider or youth (she is showing her age and has a bit of a sway back) but she would also be just as happy as a companion horse.

Sayonara (Sayonara has been Adopted!)

Sayonara is a bay mare who was born in August of 2016. Her mother, CU Later, was surrendered to MHARF earlier that summer after local law enforcement found her running free down Highway I-35 for the second time.  CU Later is a quarter horse-type mare but we have no idea who Sayonara’s sire is, as the mare’s previous owner was not aware of the pregnancy. Sayonara is a beautiful stock-type mare and is very smart and very sweet. She is also beginning to gray out so we think she will look a lot like her mother! Sayonara is currently in training (ground work) with Anna Hill. You can check out their progress on Sayonara’s Facebook Page.

Sonny

Sonny is a handsome, solidly built 2008 grade quarter horse gelding who stands 14.3hh. He is a very nice horse and is currently in training with Jamie Moeller who says he is good for trails and arena work. She thinks he would make an excellent 4H horse.  Sonny

Sparky

This adorable pinto miniature colt came in recently with his mother. He was foaled around April of 2016. He is extremely active and playful. He will be available for adoption upon weaning.

Lila

Lila is 35″ miniature mare who came in during the summer of 2016 her 3 month old colt.  Happily her vet and farrier check ups found no evidence of founder like we first thought–just hooves badly overdue for a trim. Her foal, Sparky, has recently been weaned and adopted and now Lila is also ready to find a new home!
