CU Later (CU Later has been Adopted!)

CU Later has been ADOPTED!

CU Later  (barn name is “Siya”) is a gray stock-type mare who came to MHARF in 2016 after she was found running down Highway 35 by law enforcement (for the second time) and was surrendered to MHARF by her owner who could not keep her.  She was foaled in  approximately 2011 and stands approximately 15.1hh.  During her intake vet exam we discovered she was in foal. In August of 2016 CU Later gave birth to a beautiful filly named Sayonara! Sayonara was weaned and adopted.  CU Later competed in our 2017 Trainer’s Challenge  with trainer Marirose Berner of MJB Horse Training, winning 3rd Overall Highpoint. She was adopted at that time but her adopter was nt able to keep her and she is now back at MHARF and looking for a new adoptive home. She is currently (as of June 2021) back in training with Marirose Berner.  She’s an athletic, energetic mare with a lot of great training and she needs consistent work with an experienced rider at this time.

You can see many photos and videos of CU Later’s  training for the 2017 Trainer’s Challenge with Marirose Berner on the Facebook page from that year Here!

Bad Lass (Bad Lass has been adopted!)

Bad Lass is a paint mare who came in  during the spring of 2016 from a Pine County humane case along with her colt, Deacon (who was weaned and adopted). She was foaled in approximately 2006. At intake Lass had an umbilical hernia in need of surgical repair. The surgery, the cost of which was generously sponsored by Judy Welch Blue in memory of Bob and Holly Welch (both long-time friends and supporters of MHARF), was completed and she has fully recovered.  Lass was adopted but it ended up not being the right match so she has come back to us. She is broke to ride and is currently in training with Marirose Berner. You can follow Lass’s facebook page Here! Contrary to her name, Bad Lass is a very nice mare!

Ole

Ole is a very nice sorrel quarter horse gelding who was foaled in 2011 after his mother, Lena, came into MHARF from a humane case. Ole, who stands 15.3hh, was adopted but has sadly been returned because of a death in his adoptive family.  He is green broke to ride and has been ridden in snaffle bit only.

Norman (Adopted)

Norman is a 2008 15.1hh Paint gelding. He originally came to MHARF as a yearling. His most recent adoptive home has sadly had to return him due to a change in their circumstances (not through any fault of Norman’s).

Angel (Angel has been Adopted!)

Angel is a 1999 14.1hh black and white pinto mare (Saddlebred/Arab/Welsh). She was originally surrendered to MHARF several years ago because she had an umbilical hernia her owner did not want to have repaired due to the cost. We took her in and paid for the surgery and then sent her into training when she was healed up. Angel has been adopted twice but has been returned both times due to no fault of her own. She is a nice mare with good ground manners. She is good for the vet and farrier and is an easy keeper. She is broke to ride and is currently back in training with Marirose Berner.  You can see Marirose’s updates on Angel’s Facebook page.

Because Angel has been moved around so much in her life, it is very important that her next home hopefully be a “forever” home!
