“Adopting Topaz has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. My family came out to the barn last week to see her, and they were all impressed by how calm she was! She is doing so well with her training. Every time I introduce something new to her, I’m always expecting her to be anxious (like most 4 year olds would be) but she always takes it in stride.

Our hearts go out to Catherine and Lynn on the loss of their 28-year-old mare, Violet. Violet originally came to MHARF in a March 2013 humane case and was adopted by Catherine and Lynn a few months later. She led an ideal life on their beautiful farm with several other adopted MHARF horses:

Cooper the “Unicorn”

Thank you to Jennifer for this update on Cooper: “Hi there! I just wanted to update you on Cooper
(The Unicorn). He is all grown up!! I love him more than you could ever know!! Thank you for all you do!”

Cooper was adopted after he competed successfully in our 2020 Trainer’s Challenge with trainer Abbie Schramm of North Gait Horse Company (5th Overall High Point winners). He also got a great start in life with his foster mom,
