Jay (Adopted)

Jay is a paint gelding who was foaled in approximately 2010. He came in during an April 2020 Kanabec County humane case. Jay spent quite a bit of time in our rehab program because his hooves were badly neglected in the past. He needed time to grow out a damaged hoof wall that was the result of what must have been a very large abscess that went untreated. Radiographs also showed that he has had a history of laminitis.

She was in need of care for the untreated cancer on the nictitating membrane on her right eye (as well as in need of some calories, as you can see in her intake pics). We are happy to say that her surgery was successful! The surgical margins were clear.
