Thank you to Harry and Buckwheat’s family for this update on “the boys”.
“It was 8 years ago tonight that Harry (black pony) came in to the rescue during a humane case. We think he is now nearing his 28th birthday! He is extremely attached to his best friend Buckwheat (also adopted from MHARF). Buckwheat, who is missing an eye, likes to stay right by Harry’s side (except when he’s relaxing in the breakfast pile).”

“Mulligan is my main guy. He takes others riding in the mountains, keeps wild animals away from our camps and is the main equine I use when I guide other people on rides. “Yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of owning Ringo! It is very bizarre that it’s already been a year. I swear it’s gone by so fast. I am truly grateful to have the best first horse a girl could ask for. And to Ringo, thank you for being my best bud in the world. Can’t wait to see what will happen in the years to come.”–Bryn

Thank you to April for sharing this photo of her adopted MHARF horse Sly (by Dietrich Gesk Photography). Sly originally came to us from a St. Louis County humane case in 2019 and was adopted by April last November. April reports that he is very loved (and it shows)!
