Update: Mizzy has been adopted!
Mizzy is a 14.1hh 2001 Quarab (qh x Arab) mare who is well broke and has a very nice temperament. We are told she has been used as an endurance horse in the past and has done some eventing. Even though she is well broke she does have some “go”. Mizzy is healthy and sound. She does have an allergy to raspberry leaves,
Update 12/09/19: Crystal has been ADOPTED!
Crystal is a 15.3hh pinto mare who was foaled in 2011. She originally came to MHARF in a 2012 Anoka County humane case. She was adopted as a youngster but has been returned because her adopter could no longer keep her. She is now in training with Shaylor Alley in Elk River, MN. She is green broke at this time.
Thank you to Laurelyn for this update on one of our favorite horses! Edgar Allan Poe, who is a Saddlebred x Friesian, came to MHARF 5 years ago today from a humane case. He was 6 months old at the time and had several injuries from being caught in fencing, including injuries to his mouth and lips that kept him from nursing. He was severely dehydrated and malnourished. Edgar was an “in-patient”

Beau is a Tennessee Walking Horse gelding who was foaled in approximately 1994. He stands 15.2hh and is sturdy boy. He is a retired field trial horse who is well broke to ride but still has a lot of “go”.
