Tonka (Tonka has been ADOPTED!)

Tonka has been ADOPTED!

Tonka is a yearling aged (born spring 2019) palomino colt who came to us in November 2019 from a Carlton County humane case. Tonka was treated for malnourishment and intestinal parasites and then gelded. He did have a complication with the castration surgery so had to return to Anoka Equine for  additioanl rehab. He has now recovered and has been placed with trainer Kaitlyn Fedewa for our 2020 Promise of the Future In-Hand Training Competition for Young Horses.

Maggie (Maggie has been ADOPTED!)

Maggie is a bay grade quarter horse mare who stands approximately 14.3hh and was foaled in approximately 1995. She originally came to MHARF from a 2013 humane case. She was adopted several years ago but has now been returned to MHARF because her adopter could no longer keep her. She has a really nice temperament. Maggie is broke to ride but it has been several years since she has been ridden so needs a refresher.

Earl (Adopted!)

Earl is a 14hh bay mustang cross gelding (foaled in approximately 2004) who originally came to MHARF from a humane case in 2010. Earl recently came back to us from his adoptive home because he had developed some issues with bucking and bolting under saddle.  He went back into training with Marirose Berner of MJB Horse Training and he was evaluated for pain or discomfort issues. We found that he was having pain issues most likely from a previous poorly fitting saddle.
