Takoda (Takoda has been Adopted!)
Takoda is a pinto gelding who was an owner surrender in Anoka County in October 2019 . He’s in his mid-teens and approximately 15hh. He was diagnosed with heaves in spring 2020 but is doing very well. He has a sweet temperament and is easy to have around. Takoda is now with trainer Anna Hill of Longstocking Stables for an assessment and further training. Watch for updates!
Buddy (Buddy has been ADOPTED!)
Buddy is a paint gelding who is approximately 13 years old. He’s a big gelding, standing over 16hh and well built. He came in from a recent St. Louis County humane case. Buddy has been diagnosed with heaves so any potential adopter will need to take that into consideration. He has nice ground manners but we have not had a training assessment done yet.
Zip
Zip is a nice palomino gelding who was foaled in approximately 2007 and 15.3hh. He came to us from a St. Louis County humane case in 2019. He is now in decent body condition. He was treated for heaves at intake and had recovered from that episode after initial course of treatment with dexamethasone. However, when he went back into training in spring 2020 he again became symptomatic and is requiring treatment. Zip is a friendly gelding with great ground manners.
Sly (Adopted)
Sly is a nice palomino gelding who originally came to MHARF during a humane case in 2019. He stands 14.2hh and was foaled in approximately 1997. Sly was adopted as a companion for another horse but has now come back to MHARF after the sad loss of his companion. He is a very sweet old gelding. Mellow and passive. He just had dental work done (one tooth pulled) but will need a recheck in 6 months.
