Teddy has been adopted!
Teddy came to MHARF from a late March 2019 Fillmore County humane case. Teddy was in relatively good condition compared to the other equine in the case and has been placed in an adoptive home. You can see links to media coverage of this humane case on our Home Page.

Ava is nice pony mare who is looking for a new home as a companion horse. Ava is approximately 23 years old and 13hh. She originally came to us during a 2019 Fillmore County humane case. She was adopted but her adoptive home can sadly no longer keep her. She is calm around people of any age and loves attention. She is not broke to ride but she would be great as a horse for kids to learn to handle,
Epona came to MHARF from a late March 2019 Fillmore County humane case. She was foaled in approximately 2017. Epona is a nice young mare who we believe has some thoroughbred breding. This past summer she has been placed with trainers Cameryn and Morgan Allen for our 2019 Promise of the Future Training Competition. They competed successfully in September and brought home the 2019 POF Grand Championship! Epona is now ready to find a new home.
This red dun mare came to MHARF during a late March 2019 Fillmore County humane case. She was extremely emaciated at intake and had an older bay colt at her side. The colt has now been weaned and she is able to put all of the calories she is receiving towards gaining weight. This poor older mare (in her late teens) is not so sure she wants much to do with people right now.

This bay gelding (now DECEASED)came to MHARF from a late March 2019 Fillmore County humane case. He was extremely emaciated and dehydrated and was taken directly to Anoka Equine Veterinary Services. Unfortunately due to his extremely poor condition he went down and even though the staff and veterinarians at Anoka treated him and cared for him throughout the night and the following day, he continued to decline to the point where we needed to make the decision to euthanize him to alleviate his suffering.
