Freedom (Freedom has been Adopted!)

This pinto gelding came to MHARF from a late March 2019 Fillmore County humane case. He is in his early 20’s and was extremely emaciated at intake. He was taken directly to Anoka Equine Veterinary Services where he spent the next two weeks receiving rehabilitative care and veterinary treatment. He was then moved to a great foster home where he was able to continue his rehab. He has now put on some much needed weight and is ready to find a new home.

Luta (Student of the 2019 MHARF Trainer’s Challenge)

Luta has been ADOPTED!

Luta came to MHARF from a March 2019 Fillmore County humane case. We have placed her with trainer Shaylor Alley for our 2019 Trainer’s Challenge.  Luta still needs to gain some weight and we want to thank Shaylor for  taking her as his Challenge horse even though she still requires rehabilitation time. Shaylor will work with Luta and give her the nutrition and rehab care she needs while also starting her training on the ground.

Francisco Sends His Regards…

Just an update on Cisco (we call him Cookie because he loves horse treats): he is doing well. He spent the winter eating, playing with his buddy, playing with the jolly ball, salt pan and any other toys we could find for him and his buddy.  Didn’t get many pictures of him in the deep cold as the camera wouldn’t work– but he left his blanket on for a couple of days when it was terribly cold.
