Harold (Adopted)

Harold is a sorrel gelding who came to MHARF from a November 2023 Crow Wing County humane case. His age is estimated to be mid to late teens. He was quite thin at intake time. He has now put on some much needed weight and is receiving excellent care and handling at Essence of Equus. Harold has not had a training assessment under saddle yet, but he is very well-mannered on the ground.

Slim (Adopted)

Slim is a 1997 16hh off the track thoroughbred gelding in need of a new home. Slim is broke to ride, but as an older horse he should be ridden lightly. He does get senior feed daily along with his hay.

Update: 05/01/24: Thunderbolt has now been weaned, gelded, and is ready to find a new home.

Update: 10/11/23: Thunderbolt and Hazel were discharged from AEVS and are now enjoying life at HH Stables. Thunderbolt will be available for adoption after he is weaned and gelded in late spring of 2024.

Update 10/02/23: Hazel and Thunderbolt were transported to Anoka Equine Veterinary Services on 09/30/23 so Hazel could receive in-hospital treatment for a uterine infection.  She is currently receiving I.V. fluids, antibiotics, pain meds, and uterine flushing. Thunderbolt is also receiving a course of antibiotics. Hazel’s milk is drying up, so Thunderbolt is on supplemental feeding of Mare’s Match Foal Milk Replacer. He is doing well with the excellent care at AEVS.

Thunderbolt is a palomino colt who was born on 09/29/23. His mother, Hazel, is a recent intake from a September 2023 Carlton County humane case.

He has now been gelded and is available for adoption.
