Amari (Amari has been Adopted!)

Amari is a sweet bay Arabian mare who stands 14.2hh and was foaled in approximately 1998-99. She is well broke to ride and is suitable for a child or a small adult for lighter riding. She is a timid mare with other horses and tends to be at the bottom of the pecking order so she needs a home where she will be kept with a kind companion or in her own paddock. She is currently getting grain twice a day and will need this to continue. She is also accustomed to being blanketed in the winter. Sweet mare with a great temperament!

Fritzy (Fritzy has been Adopted!)

Fritzy does have an adoption pending.

Fritzy is a medium pony gelding who was foaled in approximately 2000. He originally came to MHARF as a yearling and was adopted. He was recently returned because his adopter could sadly no longer keep him. Fritzy has been used for lead line rides but needs further training to be ridden independently. Fritzy (like most ponies) should be kept on a  dry lot.

Meeka (Meeka has been Adopted!)

Meeka came to MHARF in an August 2019 Stearns County humane case.  She was not halter broke and had not had vet or farrier care for a long time (if ever).  She was also pregnant. Unfortunately, Meeka’s foal was born prematurely and he did not survive due to complications from Neonatal Maladjustment Syndrome, despite in-hospital veterinary treatment. Meeka was very distressed at first but she is doing better every day. She is doing well with handling and becoming friendlier all the time. Meeka is not yet broke to ride.

Mijo (Mijo has been Adopted!)

Update: 09/05/10 Mijo has been ADOPTED!

Mijo is a bay Arab gelding came to MHARF from a July 2019 Crow Wing County humane case. Luckily he isn’t in terrible condition as far as weight goes, but he was no longer being cared for by his owner and was removed along with many other companion animals. It is estimated that he was foaled in 2001 and he stands approximately 15hh. Mijo is with trainer Anna Hill for assessment and it turns out he is well broke to ride! Skip (Skip has been Adopted!)

Skip is coming 2-year old gelding who came to MHARF from a July 2019 Carlton County humane case. He was extremely malnourished at intake and was also treated for pneumonia. He spent many days in-patient at Anoka Equine Veterinary Services.  Since August has been hanging out at the MHARF farm and gaining some much needed weight (which wasn’t a problem once he didn’t have to compete with other horses for his food). Skip is now healthy and he has been placed with trainer Michelle Fedewa for our 2020 Promise of the Future in-hand training competition for young horses. He will spend the spring and summer in training and will compete in the event in September. He will be available for adoption at the event.
