Fletcher (Graduate of the 2017 Trainer’s Challenge of the Unwanted Horse)

Update: Fletcher has been adopted! Congratulations to Fletcher and Jeremy Kaiserlik for winning the 2017 Trainer’s Challenge Grand Championship on 09/16/17!

Fletcher is a 2003 black Friesian/Quarter Horse cross gelding. Fletcher came to MHARF because his owner could no longer keep him.  He was not broke to ride at intake and didn’t appear to have been asked to do much of anything in the past. He is now started under saddle and going well with trainer Jeremy Kaiserlik. They will be competing in our 2017 Trainer’s Challenge of the Unwanted Horse . Jeremy says Fletcher is a nice horse with a big heart. Fletcher will be available for adoption the day of the Challenge. For more information on adopting Fletcher please see Adopting a Trainer’s Challenge Horse. You can follow Jeremy and Fletcher’s journey Here!

Gus

Gus is a 2004 gelded standard donkey. He is a nice boy who is also full of mischief! He loves to play and would prefer a home with another donkey or a mule.

Ruby

Update 04/01/17: Ruby has been adopted! Ruby is a nice 2007 registered paint (solid) mare who stands 16hh. Ruby is broke to ride and would make a good light-duty trail horse. Ruby came to MHARF because her owner could no longer keep her.  We will have more info on her soon!

Edgar Allan Poe

Mary Elizabeth Photography

Edgar Allan Poe is a beautiful pinto saddlebred/Friesian cross gelding who was foaled in 2014. He came in on Halloween day of 2014 when he was just around 6 months old. He had several injuries, including one to his mouth that kept him from nursing. He was severely dehydrated and malnourished. Edgar is doing well now and just had a full veterinary exam that showed there is no indication of any issues due to his past malnourishment and his current fast growth rate. He does require at least another full year before being put into any heavy training. Edgar is a strong and energetic young gelding!

Wisp (Graduate of the 2017 Trainer’s Challenge)

Update: Wisp has been adopted! Congratulations to Wisp and TJ Clibborn for being our 2017 Trainer’s Challenge 5th Overall High Point Winners!

Wisp is a beautiful black mare who was foaled in 2013 and stands 14.1hh. Wisp came to MHARF during a 2013 humane case with her mother Liberty. We don’t know a lot about Wisp’s breeding but her mother was a large pony size pinto. She is a very refined little mare. She is not yet broke to ride and will be competing in our 2017 Trainer’s Challenge of the Unwanted Horse with trainer TJ Clibborn. She will be available for adoption the day of the Challenge (September 16th) by silent auction to pre-qualified bidders. To learn more about becoming approved to bid at the Challenge please see Adopting a Trainer’s Challenge Horse. You can follow Wisp and TJ’s journey Here!
