Rosie aka Blackfoot (Adopted

This nice appaloosa mare was foaled in 2007 and stands 14.3hh. She is registerable. She’s a gentle mare and very smart.  She competed in our 2016 Trainers’ Challenge (with trainer Ashlynn Rechtiene). She was adopted but has now come back to us because her adopter sadly cannot keep her. She is well trained but she does require a rider with some experience and confidence as she gets confidence from her rider. She has done mainly trail riding. She loads and trailers well, knows all her cues, direct reins, moves off of pressure, rides bareback or saddle, w/t/c. She can be a little buddy sour in the arena if another horse leaves the arena and she is left alone, also gets a little antsy when tied but does much better if she has a hay net to munch on while tied. She also requires protection from the sun due to her pink skin.

Amber (Update: Amber has been adopted!)

Amber is a very nice 14.3hh 2010 dun grade quarter horse mare. She originally came to MHARF as a yearling, was adopted, and has now been returned to us because of time restraints for her previous adopters. This beautiful girl had 60 days of professional training in 2014 and since that time has had trail experience as well as trail obstacle experience. During the summer of 2016 Amber competed in the Truhaven 60 Day Rescued Horse Trail Challenge.  Amber is well-trained and she is sensitive to cues–so she needs a rider who has some amber-head-shotexperience.

Aashiloh Barr

Aashiloh Barr has been adopted!

Aashiloh is a 2001 bay gelding who stands approximately 15.3hh. He is registered half-Arab with the IAHA. (He is out of AHR registered MS Shahlana and by IAHA registered MP Allabar.) We were told he was broke to ride but had not been handled or ridden for quite awhile at intake. He went back into training in 2016 with Leanna Giles of Bravehorse Ranch where he has gotten some great experience on trails as seen here!  Suitable for an intermediate to advanced rider. He loves to be bathed, stands well for fly spray, saddling, and mounting. He does not over-react to new things and becomes accustomed very quickly.
