For all the folks that tell you that rescue horses are “bad” or lame or can’t be helped, here is a picture from last night. 2 of these horses are from MHARF. The middle horse is Karamyst, graduate of the first trainers challenge, and the little grey blur is Pony Annie, who we ended up with after she got into some trouble at her foster home several years ago. Would you attempt a ride like this, wi…th all these little kids on a “bad” horse? Kara is also in this year’s calendar.
Took some of my favorite kids for a “Glow Ride” under the spectacular moonlight . Loaded up the kids and saddles with glo bracelets, necklaces, etc. It was pretty cool & pretty fun, especially once we got away from the barn yard lights. Annie was anxious to get going and wouldn’t hold still for the pic.(ha ha)

This is a picture of my granddaughter and her rescue pony that she got form MN Hooved Animal Rescue. She was 3 when we adopted Bentley (previously Merriweather) and Chloee is now almost 9. These two have the most amazing bond.
Rebecca S. riding “Murphy”, (a former Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue horse and Mitchell Carson’s MHARF’s Trainer’s Challenge horse, best buddy, and entry from the 2011 Challenge of the Unwanted Horse. Murphy is pictured here at his second show ever, Wildfire Farms Dressage Schooling Show in Maple Lake, MN, Aug. 8th, 2015, where he won his first blue ribbons in USDF Intro Level Test A and Test B, earning a score of 72.5% and 74.4%, respectively, also winning the Combined High Point Award for that show. Photo by Murphy’s owner/steward, and best friend, Mimi.
We have to add that Murphy remains our highest bid earning Challenge horse to date! It’s not hard to see why! Thank you Mimi!

Here is a message we received from one of our adopters. Thanks Joyce!
“This is a picture of Hope ( Formerly “Trickery”) giving pony rides in June at Western Fest Rodeo, Granite Falls, MN. I adopted Hope 2 yrs ago at the Trainers Challenge (trained by Katie Hembree). Hope continues to give joy to myself and so many others. Thanks again to your wonderful organization for bringing me and Hope together. Joyce “
