“I feel so lucky to have adopted her!”

This is Miley (formerly known as Foxy). Thank you to Kelli for the update and for giving this beautiful mare a great home:
“Here are some photos from the past year. I call her Miley ♥️. She is such a nice horse and I feel so lucky to have adopted her! She tries so hard to do what is asked of her and is so easy to work with. She’s cuddly and sweet—her favorite is neck scratches, which she asks for often. I have no timeline for her to do any specific thing, and my goal when we’re together is for her to feel relaxed and confident instead of tight and anxious. She’s happy in her little herd and we all love her so much!”

“He is such an amazingly beautiful soul!”

We were happy to have Lorrie share these photos of her beautiful adopted gelding Romeo with us. Romeo found a perfect home with Lorrie in 2018 with help from trainers Jamie and Kylie Moeller.
From Lorrie: “He is such an amazingly beautiful soul! Thank you for that you do for these amazing animals; he has gotten me through a lot these past 5 years!”

Titan is a star student!

Thank you to Kristina for this update on her adopted MHARF gelding, Titan! Kristina and Titan (seen here with clinician Sarona Bruder) had a great experience at a recent Bruder Horsemanship Clinic at the U of M Leatherdale Equine Center:
“Titan is already working hard this spring; he was a star student for the clinician ♡. We had a great 3 days away. He is STILL growing, all 16 + hands of him 😳 I wish I had a pic of him with me, but this will do! He really is a true gem! It has been so icy up here I haven’t even messed with him since prob Nov, loaded him up and took him to the U of M and he was an absolute angel! On the ground and under saddle. I wonder if he remembered being in this arena [when he competed in the Promise of the Future competition as a yearling with trainer Deb Anderson]…”

Pigeon (now called “Woody”) finds a soft place to land!

Thanks so much to Melena for this update on Pigeon!
“Just thought I would drop a note to let you know that Pigeon (who we call “Woody” here) is doing very well.
His favorite thing in the world is food. 😂 He loves his hay, grain, and pretty much any treat you put in front of him. He can chow down more hay than any of the other 3 larger horses here. He has been a good companion for Manny. They enjoyed sitting out by the fence line in the winter watching the cars go by and nearby construction crews, or hanging out on the fence line that faces the other paddock where the other two horses hang out.”

Linda was a much-loved part of the family.

Everyone at MHARF would like to send condolences to Lisa and her family on the loss of their beloved llama, Linda, who they adopted from us 10 years ago. Linda was a much-loved part of the family and a very lucky llama!
