Snickerdoodle is a 10.1hh 2009 pony mare who was picked up at an auction by our friends at Save the Brays Donkey Rescue in March of 2024. After her quarantine period she came to MHARF where she had a good grooming session before going to have her intake veterinary work done at Anoka Equine Veterinary Services. Snickerdoodle had very bad dental issues, including large hooks which caused her mouth to be ulcerated.
Everyone at MHARF was very sad to learn of the passing of “Aggie” in late February. Aggie (known then as “Haggis” originally came to the rescue in 2003 as a weanling. She had a birth defect consisting of a kidney that was routed to her uterus instead of the bladder on one side. Renae is a young bay mare (foaled in approximately 2022) who came to MHARF in a February 2024 Mille Lacs County humane case. She’d had very little handling in the past and needed some time to become accustomed to being approached and handled before she could have her intake veterinary work done. Thanks to our friends at HH Stables, she has come a long way and is now much more comfortable being caught,
This gray gelding (who is in his early 20’s) came to MHARF in a February 2024 Mille Lacs County humane case. He is currently having his intake veterinary care done. We will have more information on him soon.
