Skye (Adopted)

This gelding came to MHARF from a February 2024 Mille Lacs County humane case. He was foaled in approximately 2005. He is missing the tip of his tongue and has a severely ulcerated mouth due to very sharp points on his teeth. He has been gaining weight steadily now that he has had proper dental care and eating no longer causes him pain.

Eclipse (Transferred to GRG Ranch Rescue)

Eclipse is an Appaloosa gelding who came to MHARF in February of 2024 because his owner could not give him the care he needed. He was foaled in 2009 and stands 15.2hh. He is currently in training at HH Stables. The assessment we have so far  (as of March 1st) is that Eclipse has definitely been started under saddle in the past but he is green and can be quite reactive. He currently only suitable for a confident experienced rider who can continue with his training.

Brighty (Adopted)

Brighty (affectionately called “Bitey” for when he first came in, but now a much happier “Brighty”) came to MHARF from a December 2023 Isanti County law enforcement case. He was foaled in approximately 2018 and was a stallion at intake (he has now been gelded). He came in with what was diagnosed as a severe case of gastric ulcers for which he was treated. Brighty is feeling much better these days and has now gone to HH Stables for a training assessment.
