Rhea (Adopted)

Rhea is a 15.1hh grade mare who was foaled in approximately 2013. She came to MHARF in a November 2023 Kanabec County humane case. Rhea went to a foster home with Essence of Equus where she received many months of patient handling and ground work to get her through trust issues and defensive behavior caused by past poor handling.  She is a kind horse and has overcome her fear issues. During the summer of 2024 Rhea was transferred to HH Stables so she could begin her assessment under saddle.

Update July 2025: Gingersnap has been in training with Sarah Kolbinger this summer and is doing wonderfully! She has had groundwork, been ponied, been ridden lead line and independently with just a halter. Sarah says she is progressing very quickly and that some family is going to be very lucky to adopt her!

Update 10/2024: Nilla is now weaned and both she and Gingersnap are available for adoption.

Gingersnap is a 11.3 hand pony mare  (foaled in approximately 2011 or 2012) who came to MHARF in a September 2023 Carlton County humane case.
