Woody

Woody is a senior gelding who came to MHARF in November 2022. He’s an older gelding we were asked to take in after he became homeless through a series of unfortunate circumstances. Woody is very thin and was sorely in need of dental care. He is currently enjoying the comfort of a stall at Anoka Equine Veterinary Services where he has been started on a refeeding program and is doing well. We are hopeful that he will recover quickly now that it’s no longer painful for him to eat.

“Noel is Gold”

Thank you to Mary and family for this update on their adopted Pony, Noel: “Have I mentioned lately that Noel is gold? She was a dinosaur for Theo’s birthday. She made so many kids happy. In exchange she got to eat some grass, which she thought was agreeable.”😆

Rest in Peace, Rose

We are saddened to hear about the loss of Rose (previously known as Maya) who crossed the “Rainbow Bridge”. We want to thank Margie and Brian for adopting her and giving her a wonderful final spring and summer. Rose came to MHARF during a humane case in March and was so lucky to be adopted by these wonderful people who made sure she received proper nutrition, veterinary care, and plenty of love.
