Cheyenne (Adopted)

Cheyenne is nice mare in her early to mid 20’s who came to MHARF in 2018 at request of social services because her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She is blind in one eye. Cheyenne is not broke to ride and we feel it would be best at her age to find a home where she can be a companion horse. We are also currently working with her veterinarian to keep an eye on a lump she has developed on her throat.

Sequoia (Sequoia has been Adopted!)

Sequoia came to MHARF in late fall of 2018 of at the request of Stearns County social services because her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She has had little handling in the past and came in with some trust issues but she is coming around nicely. She is curious and definitely wants to be friendly. Sequoia was foaled in approximately 2010 and stands 14.2hh. We don’t know her breeding but she is a stock-type horse.

Appaloosa Lady

Update: Happily, Lady’s owner has been able to take her back so she is no longer in need of a new home!

Appaloosa Lady is a pretty mare who was foaled in 2005 and stands 14.2hh. She has come to MHARF for placement because her owner can sadly no longer keep her. She is broke to ride and is most suitable for an advanced beginner or intermediate rider as she does have some get up and go.

Max: A Memorial Tribute

Thank you so much to Deb and family for this wonderful tribute to Max, for giving him a great life, and for making the right decision for him when the time came. Rest in Peace, Max.

“We started fostering Max from MHARF in April 2010. It took the people who were temporarily caring for him a few hours to get him into the trailer to bring him to us, our little red foster gelding who arrived so timid and shy.
