Titan (Titan has been Adopted!)

Titan has been ADOPTED!

Titan is dun grade quarter horse colt who was foaled in 2018. He came to MHARF from a a late March 2019 Fillmore County humane case. He was still with his mother who was also emaciated. He was weaned and gelded (thank you to the Minnesota Horse Welfare Coalition for sponsoring his surgery!) He was then placed with trainer Deb Anderson for our 2019 Promise of the Future Training Competition, an in-hand training competition for young horses. Update: As of March 2021 Titan has gone into training with Sarah Lemke of Step Up Horsemanship and has been started under saddle. Titan’s First Ride

Teddy (Update: Teddy has been adopted!)

Teddy has been adopted!

Teddy came to MHARF from a late March 2019 Fillmore County humane case. Teddy was in relatively good condition compared to the other equine in the case and has been placed in an adoptive home. You can see links to media coverage of this humane case on our Home Page.

Epona (Epona has been Adopted!)

Epona came to MHARF from a late March 2019 Fillmore County humane case. She was foaled in approximately 2017. Epona is a nice young mare who we believe has some thoroughbred breding. This past summer she has been placed with trainers Cameryn and Morgan Allen for our 2019 Promise of the Future Training Competition. They competed successfully in September and brought home the 2019 POF Grand Championship! Epona is now ready to find a new home.

You can follow Epona’s training journey on her Facebook Page!

Freedom (Freedom has been Adopted!)

This pinto gelding came to MHARF from a late March 2019 Fillmore County humane case. He is in his early 20’s and was extremely emaciated at intake. He was taken directly to Anoka Equine Veterinary Services where he spent the next two weeks receiving rehabilitative care and veterinary treatment. He was then moved to a great foster home where he was able to continue his rehab. He has now put on some much needed weight and is ready to find a new home. He is broke to ride but needs a refresher and he needs some work on ground manners. Freedom is at the bottom of the pecking order so any new home will have to make certain he is able to have his meals without having to defend them from other horses. He also requires additional grain as he has senior horse teeth.  You can find links to the media coverage of this humane case on our Home Page.
