Nikita (Nikita has been adopted!)

Graduate of the 2016 Trainer’s Challenge
Nikita is a 2007 buckskin and white pinto draft cross mare who stands approximately 15.2hh. She competed in our 2016 Trainers’ Challenge with trainer Amanda Schultz. Nikita was adopted but was returned because her adopter could not keep her. As of July 2018 she is back in training once again at oasis Equestrian Center with Ralea Casperson of RKC Dressage, LLC. Ralea says Nikita is a very nice mare who will make a wonderful hunter or dressage horse. She currently suitable for a confident intermediate to advanced rider. Ringo (Ringo has been Adopted!)

Ringo [Registered name Nite Illumination (RA Hot Every Nite x That’s Fancy)] is a pinto American Saddlebred gelding who came to us from a late March 2018 Kanabec County humane case. He was foaled in 2005 and stands 15.2hh. As of May 2019, Ringo is in training with Ralea Casperson of RKC Dressage, LLC.

Montana (Montana has been Adopted!)

Montana is a chestnut grade Saddlebred gelding who was foaled in approximately 2005. He came to us from a late March 2018 Kanabec County humane case. Montana has put on some much needed weight in his foster home but they are still working on getting his hooves in shape due to neglect and also on ground manners. He will not be assessed for under saddle training  or available for adoption until spring of 2019.

Jolene (Jolene has been Adopted!)

Jolene has been ADOPTED!

Jolene is a small bay mare who came to MHARF from a late March 2018 Kanabec County humane case.  She was quite malnourished (and also covered in burdock). Jolene is a sweet old mare who was foaled in approximately 1988. We  don’t know if she is broke to ride at this point.  It will most likely be spring of 2019 before we have her assessed for training (and will most likely only recommend her for light riding with a smaller rider). She is available for adoption and would make a great companion for another horse!

Lyric: Lyric has been Adopted!

Lyric is a black and white Saddlebred mare who was foaled at MHARF after her mother Harlem’s Evening Song came in during a 2011 Pine County humane case. Lyric was adopted as a youngster but never stared under saddle. She has come back to MHARF because her adopter could not keep her. This nice mare was entered into our 2018 Trainer’s Challenge of the Unwanted Horse  with trainer Marirose Berner.  They competed successfully and won Third Overall High Point! You can see Lyric and Marirose’s Trainer’s Challenge journey on Lyric’s official Facebook page HERE!
