Jiminy Cricket

Jiminy Cricket is a chestnut grade Arabian gelding who was foaled on April 29th, 2018. His mother, Della, came to MHARF pregnant during a December 2017 case.  Jiminy Cricket was premature and showed failure to thrive and both mare and foal were admitted to Anoka Equine Veterinary Services so he could receive i.v. fluids and plasma. Bloodwork showed infection so he was also started on antibiotics. Within 48 hours Jiminy Cricket was doing well enough to be released. He needed to stay on stall rest for 30 days. As of June 2019 Jiminy is weaned and gelded. As you can see, he has turned into a well built young horse and he would love to find a new home! Jiminy was placed with trainer Courtney Stanek in our 2020 Promise of the Future in-hand training competition for young horses. He spent the summer in training with Courtney learning all about how to be a good citizen from the ground. He successfully competed at the event in September 2020.

As of October 2021 Jiminy Cricket has been in training with Sarah Helms at Step Up Horsemanship and he is now started under saddle. You can see a video of Jiminy getting accustomed to groundwork w/the surcingle here.

Maridae (Maridae has been ADOPTED!)

Maridae is a chestnut grade Arabian mare who was born on 05/01/18 after her mother, Sugarfoot, came to MHARF pregnant during a December 2017 case.  Maridae  was placed with trainer Renee Hendrickson for our 2019 Promise of the Future Training Competition. Maridae and Renee competed successfully and took home Fourth Overall Highpoint! Maridae is now a healthy, sound and energetic 2 year old who currently stands 14hh. She would love to find a new home!

Faline (Student of the 2019 Promise of the Future Competition)

Faline is a bay grade Arabian yearling filly who was born on 05/03/18 after her mother Foxy came in pregnant from a December 2017 case. Faline is a beautiful and healthy filly who has now been placed in our 2019 Promise of the Future Training Competition with trainer Anna Hill and will be available for adoption at the event in September.  You can follow Anna and Faline’s progress on Faline’s Facebook Page!

Figaro (Figaro has been ADOPTED!)

Figaro is a chestnut American Saddlebred x Arabian cross gelding who was foaled on 05/23/18. His mother, Bravada, came in pregnant during a December 2017 case. Figaro is a beautiful, energetic, and athletic young gelding who would love to find a new home! Figaro was been placed with trainer Abbie Schramm in our 2020 Promise of the Future In-Hand training competition for young horses. He will spent the spring and summer in training with Abbie learning all of the things a young horse needs to be a good citizen on the ground. He competed in the event in September and took Third Overall Highpoint. (You can follow Figaro’s progress throughout his summer of training on his Facebook Page!) Figaro was adopted at the competition but has come back to MHARF because his adopter could no longer keep him. Figaro has tons of potential for a knowledgeable person looking for a smart, sensitive, athletic and energetic young horse.

 

Charlie: Update: Charlie has been Adopted!

Charlie is Belgian Draft gelding who was foaled in approximately 2005 and stands approximately 17.3hh. He came to MHARF in a May 2018 Brown County humane case. Charlie had been badly neglected and is in need of good nutrition, farrier care, and veterinary care. He is now receiving all three! We will have more info on Charlie soon.
