Sunny (Adopted)

(Sunny is an appaloosa gelding (foaled in 2012) who came to MHARF in mid-July 2024 because his owner could no longer keep him. We have placed Sunny back in the “rehab” category at this time. He does not have any health or soundness issues, but he is not yet ready to be adopted. Sunny is friendly and likes people and attention when in his stall or in the paddock, but he does continue to get very nervous and reactive as soon as he is put to work.

Shyanne (Adopted)

Shyanne is a mini mare who was foaled in 2016 and stands 33″ tall. She came to MHARF in July 2024 as an owner surrender (due to owner’s own health and financial issues). As you can see, Shyanne is pretty chunky. It’s very common to see overweight minis and ponies in this area due to the lushness of the pastures (especially in a wet year). Being overweight is detrimental to their health as it can lead to metabolic issues,

Sara (Adopted)

Sara is a grade quarter horse mare who is is in her early teens and stands 15.3hh. She came to MHARF in June 2024 when the kind person who had rescued her in 2023 asked us to assist in finding her a permanent home. When Sara was rescued, the vet assigned her a body score of 2.  Sara had been seriously neglected by her previous owner but was lucky enough to have someone step in to take over her care.

Molly (Adopted)

Molly is a Haflinger mare who came to MHARF in May of 2024 when we were asked to assist her elderly owner who could no longer care for her. She stands approximately 13hh and is in her early to mid-teens. Molly was pretty overweight when she came in and she is currently on a diet. She will need a home where she will get the exercise and correct diet she needs to stay healthy (Molly will need a dry lot,

Georgie

Georgie is a bay roan filly who was born on 05/02/24. Her mother, Fancy, came to MHARF in a September 2023 Carlton County humane case. Georgie was weaned in November of 2024 and is available adoption. She is a stocky well-built filly. We are not sure yet how tall she will be at maturity.
