Mijo (Mijo has been Adopted!)

Update: 09/05/10 Mijo has been ADOPTED!

Mijo is a bay Arab gelding came to MHARF from a July 2019 Crow Wing County humane case. Luckily he isn’t in terrible condition as far as weight goes, but he was no longer being cared for by his owner and was removed along with many other companion animals. It is estimated that he was foaled in 2001 and he stands approximately 15hh. Mijo is with trainer Anna Hill for assessment and it turns out he is well broke to ride! You can find his Facebok page Here!

Skip (Skip has been Adopted!)

Skip is coming 2-year old gelding who came to MHARF from a July 2019 Carlton County humane case. He was extremely malnourished at intake and was also treated for pneumonia. He spent many days in-patient at Anoka Equine Veterinary Services.  Since August has been hanging out at the MHARF farm and gaining some much needed weight (which wasn’t a problem once he didn’t have to compete with other horses for his food). Skip is now healthy and he has been placed with trainer Michelle Fedewa for our 2020 Promise of the Future in-hand training competition for young horses. He will spend the spring and summer in training and will compete in the event in September. He will be available for adoption at the event. You can follow Skip’s progress in his Facebook Page!

Bill (Bill has been ADOPTED!)

Update: Bill has been Adopted!

Bill is a 2011 Haflinger gelding who originally came to MHARF in 2014 after having been abandoned in a park reserve. He stands 14.2 hh. Bill was adopted but has been returned to us. He has a really nice temperament. Bill tends to be on the heavier side and needs to be kept off of pasture grass for the most part.

Update: As of July 2019 Bill has gone into training with Anna Hill. He is well broke to ride and is suitable for an intermediate rider and up. You can follow his Facebook page Here!

Latte (Latte has been ADOPTED!)

UPDATE: Latte has been ADOPTED!

Latte is a 14.2hh buckskin welsh cob gelding who was foaled in 2014. Latte is broke to ride but has developed some “scooting” issues under saddle. We have determined these issues are not pain related. Latte may have been rushed in his training and is confused about what is being asked of him. He needs to be restarted by a patient, gentle and experienced trainer. He will need an owner with whom he can establish a trusting relationship.

Sassy (Sassy has been Adopted!)

Sassy is a 14hh Rocky Mountain Horse mare who was foaled in 1992. She is gaited, has a nice temperament and is broke to ride. She is still a little on the thin side so needs to put on a few pounds. She is a smaller mare–so suitable for a smaller adult. She likes trail riding and likes to lead.
