Update 06/15/23: Chrome’s lameness issue has been evaluated by the veterinarian and it has been determined that he is not rideable due to an issue with his left hip and pelvic region. We believe that Chrome was in some sort of an accident at one point and that the injury to his left eye and to his left hip and pelvis were all a result of the same accident. He is pasture-sound and as sweet and gentle as can be.
Oreo is a pinto miniature horse mare who was foaled on 05/24/16. She is a sweet little mare with good ground manners. Oreo has had an issue with laminitis in the past. Recent radiographs show that the condition is mild and she should be fine as long as she gets proper nutrition and farrier care. She will need to go to a home that is knowledgeable about proper diet for mini horses and management of laminitis.
Peekaboo is a miniature horse mare who was foaled on 03/27/16. She is a very sweet girl with good ground manners. Peekaboo has come to MHARF because her owner very sadly needed to find new placement for her along with her best friend, Oreo. Peekaboo has had some issues with laminitis in the past and is currently having corrective farrier work and is on a new diet. We are looking to find them a home together with someone who is knowledgeable about the nutritional needs of miniature horses and managing laminitis.
