Update 12/29/18: DJ has been Adopted!
DJ is a dun grade Arabian gelding who was foaled in early 2017. He came to MHARF in a December 2017 humane case. He was found to have a vitamin e an selenium deficiency, was treated and is doing very well. He was relatively unhandled at intake but he is went into training for our 2018 Promise of the Future Training Competition with the Wrisky Ranch Team (Renee and Theadora Hendrickson and Brandy and Jaycie Navarro).
Della is a 14.2hh 2008 chestnut Arabian mare who came in from a December 2017 case. She was in foal at intake and gave birth to a chestnut colt on April 29th, 2018. Della had some severe trust issues at intake due to very poor handling in her past. (Thank you to Tara Perkins of Perquestrian Acres for her consistent and caring work on helping Della to start overcoming these issues).
Della was placed with trainer Sarah Lemke in our 2020 Trainer’s Challenge.
DeNiro is a chestnut Arabian gelding from a recent December 2017 case. He stands 14.2hh and was foaled in approximately 2002. We believe he was a herd sire for many years and was gelded recently. DeNiro had some trust issues due to past mishandling and conflicting training methods, but he has turned into a friendly horse who loves attention! He was started under saddle during the summer of 2018 by Ralea Casperson of RKC Dressage,
Update: Delaney has been transferred to assisting organization, Pony Tales Rescue in Wisconsin.
Delaney is a bay Arabian filly who was foaled in approximately 2016. She came in recently from a December 2017 case. She had been kept with several stallions and despite her young age will need to be vet checked for pregnancy. We will have more info after her vet appointment!

Faith is 15.2hh a palomino stock-type mare (foaled in approximately 2006) who originally came to MHARF from a December 2017 humane case. At intake time she had a weanling aged filly (Xena) at her side and was pregnant again. In spring of 2018 she gave birth to a premature colt who unfortunately did not survive despite receiving immediate emergency veterinary care. Faith was given several months to recover before being assessed as broke to ride and suitable for an intermediate rider and up.
